The Rotary Club in the Czech Republic will always have a special place in my heart. They did not have to allow me into this country, but they did. I was actually supposed to go to Bosnia on exchange, but something happened thus not allowing me to. I then had the choice to go to Brazil, Thailand, or the Czech Republic. Let’s just say, I am very happy that I ended up coming here.
This country, although small in size, is possibly one of the best countries in the world. I have met so many friendly people here, who are willing to help me even though I speak very broken Czech. It also has a much better train system than in the United States, and I am very jealous about that.
It is amazing how easily you can fall in love with a country. I was quite nervous before coming here, and I really wasn’t expecting anything special. After coming here, I don’t want to leave. When I see that I only have a couple of months left, I just get sad. From the castles, to the mountains, to just the landscape. Everything is just perfect, and I don’t think a lot of people appreciate it enough. There are also so many hiking and biking trails that I am just not used to in the United States.
When I get back to the United States I will be telling people how amazing of a country this place is. I will be telling them how they have to visit it, and see what’s outside of Prague. There are so many things to experience. Such a rich history and again such amazing people. I can not get over the people in this country. They are what they made this experience into what it is .
So I would just like to say thank you, one last time, to this amazing organization for accepting me into this country. I will forever will be grateful, and I will definitely visit this country in the near future.
