I’ve been in Rakovnik for two months now… indeed; the time is passing by very quickly. I can’t begin to express how amazing my time has been thus far. I have made so many amazing friends and I’ve had so many experiences. I feel very lucky to be in this town and to be surrounded by such kind and welcoming people.

In a previous post, I mentioned that I wanted to answer some questions about my exchange and the Czech Republic. I received some questions (mainly from my Mom … thanks Mom (; ) and I will try my best to answer them well. Every two months, I will do another Questions and Answer style blog… so get your questions ready for December!

Before I answer some questions, I will just write briefly about my week. This past week, I’ve spent a lot of time with my younger host brother, Kuba. Although he is only ten years old, he is extremely intelligent and fun to be around. His English skills are amazing. One of my favourite moments this week was Tuesday night. The weather has been amazing this week and during the night we could see some stars. We went outside around maybe 8 pm and we looked at the stars. I obviously showed him star tipping then we went onto the trampoline to lie down and observe. We started talking about life and death (you know, normal conversation topics..). We started talking about how much death sucks. Kuba then said “When you die, you can’t play ping pong anymore”. It was super random, but it’s true. There are no more ping-pong games after death. Anyways… the rest of the week I’ve spent doing school. After school, I go to the gym everyday with Maeve. Earlier in the week, my friend Anna and I decided to create a knitting/crocheting/sewing club. Our first meeting is tomorrow after school!

I will now answer some questions (to the best of my abilities)

Why did you choose the Czech Republic?
