This year has had many ups and down, there have been many experiences that me and many other students sadly missed out on. Despite that this year has been amazing, I have learnt many new things and seen some amazing sights, from castles, Slovak culture, buildings, churches, and views from mountain tops. Some of my most cherished memories are those spent with friends and family.

From train rides to Rotary events or traveling to see sights with my host families. I owe a lot to the people around me as they have given me memories to look back on and smile about. The fun of learning about other cultures, comparing the way we all say words differently and making lifelong friendships are some of my favourite memories.

I remember waking up very early around 5am to head to the train station catching a train to Poprad and meeting all my fellow exchange students at the bus to go to High Tatras for Ski week, I had a lot of fun that week, I learnt to snowboard, had a good time with the students there, playing card games or just talking. It was the first time I met a lot of the students there unfortunately it was also the last time as a lot of students went home due to Covid meaning they were not around for farewell weekend. Farewell weekend was a lot of fun too there was a lot of dancing and messing aroundIt has got to be one of my favourite memories.
